Opera Dolce – Homage to Carlos Gomes
This concert was performed on October 11, 2014, at Washington Irving Auditorium in New York City under the auspices of Opera Dolce. Harold Rosenbaum conducted The Canticum Novum Singers and Craig Ketter was at the piano. Excerpts from six of Carlos Gomes' operas, as well as one of his choral works, were performed.
Featured Soloist: Luiz-Ottavio Faria, Brazilian Bass of La Scala
Maestro Harold Rosenbaum led "The Canticum Novum Singers".
New York premiere: "Hymn for the First Centennial of American Independence" or "Il Saluto del Brasile".
