Portuguese classes are taught by qualified teachers from the MEC (Ministry of Education and Culture). There are small group classes or private lessons available for adults interested in learning Portuguese either as intellectual endeavor or for immediate use as tourists or business executives.
The Brazilian Library meets the intellectual needs and artistic aspirations of Brazilians and Brazilianists located in New York and adjacent areas of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Bermuda, and Delaware. The library is now the main reference for all Brazilian communities and is also a center of reference for studies and research on the arts, history and culture of Brazil. The collection currently has more than 6,000 titles available for borrowing.
